This system integrates multiple privacy-enhancing technologies, including Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), combining complementary security layers to ensure robust protection. Additionally, we are developing a comprehensive data protection impact assessment and a trust-building roadmap to reinforce confidence in the system’s integrity and compliance. Estonian Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence Cybernetica is actively advancing AI capabilities across Estonian key sectors, including e-governance, healthcare, business process management, and cybersecurity. A central focus is leveraging foundation models to develop efficient and trustworthy systems for analysis and prediction. To ensure these advanced AI systems operate as intended, robust control mechanisms and guardrails are being implemented. Full-suite services for top Estonian companies Major companies such as Bolt and LHV bank have entrusted us with keeping their cybersecurity in check through an essential and holistic suite of services including pentesting, cloud security testing, vulnerability scanning, red teams and more. NATO/EU Eastern Border surveillance systems Cybernetica developed an Integrated Border Surveillance System for the coasts of Narva Lake, Narva River, and Lake Peipus. This 200km system includes unmanned sensor sites, data processing units, operator consoles with C2 software, and data transmission networks, all linked to a central HQ for a unified surveillance picture. The system enhances technical area surveillance, allowing for effective monitoring and detection of anomalies. Its automated processes and data analytics improve surveillance quality. Cybernetica also supplied and maintained the system. As a long-term partner in Estonia, Cybernetica has previously delivered a Radio Communication System for the coastline, an AIS for territorial waters, and an integrated sea and border monitoring system. Smart-ID secure authentication & digital signing Since 2017, Cybernetica’s digital identity technology SplitKey is used all over the Baltics and Iceland in collaboration with the Smart-ID service operator. The solution has 3 million users and 75 million transactions per month, and is used in services provided by top Nordic banks, leading telcos and e-commerce providers. Ukrainian national interoperability platform Trembita In 2017, Cybernetica implemented UXP as the foundation for Ukraine’s interoperability platform, Trembita. Among other benefits, Trembita supports Ukraine’s public service application Diia that offers wide-ranging digital services. Despite the full-scale war and ongoing cyberattacks, the foundation of Ukraine’s digital government remains stable, resilient and constantly adding new value to the people. VAT Declaration Processing System with Fraud Detection The system deployed in 2015 allows companies to lodge monthly VAT declarations via web-based interface or via system level web-services; validates and accepts declarations; performs extensive analysis of the VAT declaration data, including aggregation with historic data; prepares data for risk analysis; provides data analysis and visualization tools for controlling officers, investigating the potential fraud cases. VTMIS and Radio communication system for Romanian Naval Authority In 2023, Cybernetica and its Romanian partners delivered two key projects for the Romanian Naval Authority: the Black Sea Surveillance and VTMIS System and the Danube River Communication System. These projects included radars, cameras, AIS, weather sensors, radio communication, a passive radio positioning system, SAR module, VTMIS software, and integration with national and international systems. This comprehensive VTMIS solution enhances maritime oversight, ensuring secure and sustainable operations. It improves communication between ships and control centres, facilitating effective data exchange and reliable decision-making. VTMIS for Gibraltar Strait Cybernetica designed and deployed a VTMIS for the Moroccan CSTM in Tangier. The project aimed to provide integrated coastal surveillance, vessel movement detection, and traffic management. The system included surveillance radars, AIS, radio communication, weather info, interconnected remote sites, data processing, radiotelephone connection, radio positioning, vessel traffic management software, vessel database, GibRep reporting, and integrations with existing systems and databases. This turn-key solution by Cybernetica, the prime contractor, enhanced the vessel traffic service at the Gibraltar Strait, a vital waterway with over 100,000 ships annually, many carrying hazardous materials.
