We achieve this by providing innovative products and services that empower our clients to enhance their financial capability and achieve their home ownership dreams, thereby vacating rental accommodation. Our clients are single parents, First Nations Peoples, households with a disability, culturally and linguistically diverse migrants, refugees, social and affordable housing tenants and lower-income renters. To be eligible, clients must meet income thresholds or live in social or affordable housing. With the support of more than 100 businesses, government agencies and charities, we foster innovation and collaboration to achieve our vision. We are accredited as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt community service organisation. Equalising the playing field so that our clients have fairer access to home ownership products and services. Empowering : our clients with a specialised support network that includes property coaches to help them find the right home within their budget. That’s why we are fortunate to have the support of over 100 organisations, including some of Australia’s largest charities and businesses. Reducing poverty and homelessness How we help reduce homelessness Our innovative approach, combined with our cross-sector partnerships, creates positive ripple effects leading to more safe and stable homes for households on community housing waitlists. Home ownership barriers Currently, in Australia there's a critical shortage of social and affordable housing which is made worse by a lack of fair and practical pathways to home ownership. Working alongside our clients and cross-sector partners, we have identified three major barriers that contribute to the current housing crisis. These barriers are the: Know-how Barrier Deposit Barrier Supply Barrier Our Empowerment Products and Services provide a holistic solution for eligible clients to achieve their home ownership dreams No other organisation in Australia provides tailored and holistic support to home ownership like we do. Home ownership in Moungibi (Burketown), Queensland We’re proud to have helped pioneer a new home ownership pathway in the remote community of Moungibi (Burketown) in far north Queensland, which will help up to 21 mostly First Nations tenants buy their own home.
