Stanford Students | Summer Session On campus this summer? Lighten your course load for the year ahead or create space to focus on one subject. Half of our students are current Stanford students—many working an internship or participating in athletics training while taking a Summer Session course. You won't need to apply, just enroll in courses directly in Navigator. Many Summer Session courses fulfill General Education requirements. PWR 2 courses are popular in summer as well as Ways – AII: CLASSICS 31, ENGLISH 90V, ENGLISH 91V, FILMEDIA 4S, PHIL 37S, and more Ways – AQR: CS 109, DATASCI 112, ENGR 10, STATS 110, STATS 117, and more Ways – CE: ENGLISH 9CV, FILMPROD 106S, MUSIC 65AS, DANCE 58, TAPS 20, and more Ways – FR: CS 107, CS 161, CME 102, CME 106, MS&E 20, SYMSYS 1, and more Ways – SI: ANTHRO 1S, CEE 107S, INTNLREL 145, LINGUIST1, POLISCI 1, and more Summer also offers the chance to take a class that was full in other quarters (like creative writing). Tuition & Fees The University sets per-unit tuition rates for all students during Summer Quarter. A note for recent Stanford graduates: If you would like to continue your education during the Summer Quarter, please refer to the Visiting Undergraduate page for application and registration information. Summer Quarter Instruction Begins June 22, 2026 End-Quarter Examinations August 14–15, 2026 How to Apply Current Stanford students do not need to apply to Summer Session. Simply enroll in courses when Navigate Enrollment opens for the quarter in April.
