Yale College new student move-in will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for a specific move-in slot over the summer.  Events for families will be held the morning of August 23 through the afternoon of August 24. New students are required to remain on campus from August 23 - September 7 and participate fully in Opening Days, Yale College’s mandatory orientation program. Attendance at all required orientation events is mandatory, and students who are absent from mandatory activities may be asked to take a gap year. Students seeking accommodations related to their participation in Opening Days should contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) as early as possible.   The Calendar for the Opening Days of Yale College details both the required and optional orientation events organized for incoming students and families.
