Your specialty can be completed at the masters level or the doctoral level. Whichever pathway you choose, you complete an advanced practice specialty that prepares you to sit for national board certification as a nurse practitioner in your chosen specialty. GEPNDNP Complete your advanced practice specialty and doctoral coursework, undertake a practice-focused scholarly project, earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice, and become eligible for board certification in your chosen specialty. Who can apply Applicants who hold a bachelors degree in any field. A set of prerequisite courses is required before entry. Applicants must choose to apply to the MSN or DNP pathway at the point of application. It is a complete degree in its own right: you graduate ready to practice as a registered nurse, and because you hold a masters, you are also positioned to teach or pursue future doctoral training.
