The OAIC’s current Commissioner Priorities are: FOI Promote Open Government to better serve the Australian community Increase OAIC FOI regulatory and case management effectiveness Uplift agency capability in the exercise of FOI functions Make FOI compliance easier. Privacy Promote privacy in the context of emerging technologies and digital initiatives Increase OAIC privacy case management efficiency Embed a cohesive regulatory and enforcement strategy Improve compliance through articulating what good looks like. Enterprise Uplift our IT systems to be more effective and responsive to our contemporary needs Effective operation of OAIC corporate functions Enhance OAIC operational reporting. Information Data driven regulatory action – internal and external Australian Public Service capability uplift Rights preservation in new and emerging technologies International leadership.
