He said "when I was in Iran on special duty, Pakistani soldiers always showed hostile attitude towards our soldiers". However, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto had once mentioned that "one Pakistani is equal to hundred Indians", he said on the sidelines of a function organised in suburban Goregaon by the Shiv Sena. "Under such circumstances how can I salute Musharraf. No Indian can salute him so I did not," he said, adding it is also not mandatory to salute. "I shook hands with Musharraf to show our etiquettes", he said. Musharraf was on official visit to India in 2001 and had inspected a guard of honour. Former Air Chief Marshal Tipnis had not saluted the visiting Pakistani General. Find your daily dose of All Latest News including Sports News, Entertainment News, Lifestyle News, explainers & more.
