To opt out your device ID out of IBA from a particular company, simply navigate to Device ID-Based Choice tool and set the switch next to the company’s logo from “”ON” to “OFF”. Using the new Token ID-Based Choice (beta) tool, you can opt out or revoke having your data collected or used for IBA linked to the email address you provide. To my surprise, I saw that it had actually submitted opt-out requests, with mostly JSON replies confirming success.However, this gets three stars instead of five because this app simply shouldn't be necessary. Don't buy and sell people, advertisers; don't track and analyze our behavior, either. That is uncomfortably close to the German government's behavior c. 1934 — developers, reflect upon that and your life choices. Your bosses are too far gone. TRASHY… 12/06/2023 Inevitable79 Why do we have to keep downloading all of these apps to control our lives and privacy. I don’t understand these apps or their intentional confusing lingo. But I don’t think that by downloading these apps I’m helping anything, because now I’ve went and allowed or downloaded their (spyware) on my phone. Whatever California did to protect their citizens privacy needs to be done nationwide. Because I’m 98% sure that the people who created these trashy data stealing and ad targeting software live in California. That’s how they protect their data and their families from the same data stealing practices that they created. Well I think this app is trash and I also think cell phone companies (all of them) who sell their customers data are TRASH PEOPLE that should be held responsible for data theft. BTW Don’t forget to click on (Do Not Sale or Share my Data) on your phone companies website or app the next time you’re happily paying your bill or trying to get someone to help you. I was shocked to find out that my phone company that ive been with for about 10 years was selling and sharing my personal data this entire time. REALLY? WHY? At that point I (foolishly?) decided to read the instructions. It instructs to “simply move the switch from On to Off next to the advertising company you wish to opt out.” In my case, tapping the “digital switch” changes selection from On to Send, but nothing ever activates or verified anything being Sent. I then went to the Reviews to see if I am the only one having this issue, which would indicate to me that the problem is me and not with the app. I came upon a review written 3 yrs ago by {BATMAN} in which he writes, “...when you view the list of ad companies, and try and follow the instructions to opt out, the opt out button doesn't work. Just download the app opt out for all then delete it. All set! If you don’t want to see ads anymore get Adblock. I would recommend doing both. If you use only adblockers your app/internet usage is still tracked and sent back to the DAA but you just won’t see the personal ads they send you. So do both.
