"GREAT2" is GRound station for deep space Exploration And Telecommunication Phase2. News The Misasa Station will be closed during the daytime until October 31, 2023 due to redundancy maintenance. The spacecraft operates only at night. Oprerational status of "HAYABUSA2" Then purpose of GREAT2 project is as follows. Improvement of the reliability and stability of the MDSS station (redundant system, spare parts, emergency power generation equipment) Add functions to support future spacecrafts (EQUULEUS, MMX, DESTINY+ and so on). These functions will be added until the end of March 2024. Thank you for your continued support. The full-scale construction of redundant system development and maintenance has started from November 1, 2022. On January 16, 2023, the on-site installation of redundant equipment for the antenna subsystem started and is continuing. On-site coordination of redundant equipment for telecom subsystem is ongoing.
