Gender statistics are critical for understanding the distinct realities of women and men, girls and boys, and for informing policies aimed at addressing inequalities, but data and information gaps are often impediments to achieving this. While efforts to enhance gender data production have advanced, significant gaps still remain. 11 to 13 December 2023 | Perak, Malaysia Training of Trainers on Quality of Statistics for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Quality data are vital for enabling governments, international organizations, civil society, private sector and the general public to make informed decisions and to ensure the accountability of representative bodies. Effective planning, follow-up and review of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires the collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of an unprecedented amount of data and statistics at local, national, regional and global levels and by multiple stakeholders. 19 to 30 September 2022 | Training of Trainers: Improving facilitation skills,facilitated remote workshop The objective of the workshop is to provide staff of national statistical systems with tools, methods and techniques for improved facilitation and communication in a workshop setting, including remote trainings. Topics to be covered during the workshop include: “Questioning, Listening & Responding Skills”, “Discussion leading process” and “Preparing a session plan”. At the end of the workshop participants will also practice the facilitation skills they have learned during the workshop. 28 to 29 June 2021 | Online Training of Trainers on Gender Statistics for Monitoring the SDGs Virtual Training The training will provide the opportunity for participants to review and understand key components of the Training Curriculum on Gender Statistics, which is currently being finalized by the Subgroup on Gender Statistics Training: a subsidiary organ of the Network for the Coordination of Statistical Training in Asia and the Pacific. 14 to 15 June 2021 | Online Training of Trainers on Gender Statistics for Monitoring the SDGs Virtual Training The training will provide the opportunity for participants to review and understand key components of the Training Curriculum on Gender Statistics, which is currently being finalized by the Subgroup on Gender Statistics Training: a subsidiary organ of the Network for the Coordination of Statistical Training in Asia and the Pacific. 26 to 27 May 2021 | Online Training of Trainers on Gender Statistics for Monitoring the SDGs Virtual Training The training will provide the opportunity for participants to review and understand key components of the Training Curriculum on Gender Statistics, which is currently being finalized by the Subgroup on Gender Statistics Training: a subsidiary organ of the Network for the Coordination of Statistical Training in Asia and the Pacific. 10 to 11 May 2021 | Online Training of Trainers on Gender Statistics for Monitoring the SDGs Virtual Training The training will provide the opportunity for participants to review and understand key components of the Training Curriculum on Gender Statistics, which is currently being finalized by the Subgroup on Gender Statistics Training: a subsidiary organ of the Network for the Coordination of Statistical Training in Asia and the Pacific. 25 to 28 January 2021 | Online Training of Training of Trainers on Telephone Surveys (Video learning) & (Remote training) Participants are expected to contribute to capacity building on telephone surveys in their countries, and also preferably in their neighboring countries in their region. This training course would help countries conduct high-quality telephone surveys during the current pandemic as well as afterwards, as National Statistical Offices increasingly adopt to new modes of data collection. 12 to 22 January 2021 | Online Training of Training of Trainers on Telephone Surveys (Video learning) & (Remote training) Participants are expected to contribute to capacity building on telephone surveys in their countries, and also preferably in their neighboring countries in their region. This training course would help countries conduct high-quality telephone surveys during the current pandemic as well as afterwards, as National Statistical Offices increasingly adopt to new modes of data collection. 11 to 15 May 2020 | Chiba, Japan Regional Training of Trainers on the Curriculum on Gender Statistics for Monitoring the SDGs The objective of the training is to provide essential knowledge and skills to qualified trainers who will be providing gender statistics training and capacity building assistance for national training implementation. Furthermore, the training aims to assess and strengthen the effectiveness of the training curriculum developed under the guidance of the Sub-group on Gender Statistics Training.
