The APEC CBPR system has been in operation since 2011 and Japan has participated in the system since April 2014. As an APEC CBPR certification organization (Accountability Agent, AA) in Japan, JIPDEC has certified that handling is compliant with the APEC privacy framework requirements when domestic operators transfer personal information to and from APEC economies. CBPR Accountability Agent(AA) JIPDEC is recognized as CBPR Accountability Agent in Japan under APEC CBPR system. JIPDEC provides CBPR certification program since June 2016.
