Founded in 2009, we push the frontiers of knowledge about life in the universe, share science with the world, and mentor the next generation to be stewards of Earth. Our projects and programs include One Flag in Space, Sciworthy, Ask an Astrobiologist, and the Young Scientist Program. Within our research community, we have hundreds of research scientists, experts in science communication and education, staff scientists, visiting scholars, and research associates. Staff Scientists We coordinate staff scientists through laboratories at NASA Ames and academic institutions. Our staff have a range of experiences and skillsets. Visiting Scholars Scholars globally can join our affiliates for specific projects. Scholars have one-year tenures that may be extended.
