Graduate/Internship program Where are positions located? Positions for the graduate program are primarily based in Melbourne and Sydney, with other locations considered. Please note that not all streams are available in all locations. See the application form for details. When does the program begin? The 2026 graduate program will begin in February 2026. The 2026 internship program will begin in March 2026. These dates are specific to the next round of intake and are updated each year. What attributes are we looking for? As well as qualifications in your relevant discipline, we're looking for energetic and proficient communicators who are comfortable with change and teamwork. We're also seeking individuals who can multitask and pick up new concepts quickly. Application and requirements Do I need to be an Australian citizen to apply? Yes. All ASIC positions require Australian citizenship. ASIC cannot accept applications from permanent residents or international students. When should I have completed my degree to apply? For the graduate program, you should have completed your undergraduate degree in 2023, 2024 or 2025. For the internship program, you should have completed a minimum of one year of study before program commencement and be enrolled in the upcoming semester. Can I apply if I am a mature aged student? Yes, provided you meet the application requirements. Where can I find the application closing date? The application closing date will be listed on the advert once live. Does ASIC accept late applications? No. If you miss the date, you'll have to wait until the following year to apply. I am having trouble submitting my online application form. What should I do? In accordance with the Australian Government Security Policy, all personnel engaged by ASIC are required to complete a security assessment. If you are selected for a role at ASIC, you will be required to complete the Suitability and Baseline Assessment before you start. Is there a psychometric assessment? Yes. If you proceed to the next stage after completing your online application, you will be asked to complete an online psychometric assessment. Will I be contacted in regard to my application and receive feedback? Yes, you'll receive an email at every stage of the process. ASIC will email you feedback on your application after we: receive your CV and cover letter complete the interview How long does the recruitment process take? Applications for the graduate program open on 26 May 2025 until 8 June 2025, and assessment centres will be conducted in mid-July. Offers will start from early August. Applications for the internship program open on 18 August 2025 until 31 August 2025, and assessment centres will be conducted in early October. Offers will start from mid-October.
