Requires two terms and one summer session in addition to the two-year specialization sequence. Graduate Entry Pre-Specialty in Nursing (GEPN) Master of Nursing (MN) The Master of Nursing (MN) is an accelerated, sixteen-month program for students with a bachelor’s degree in any field and no prior nursing experience. The program prepares graduates for registered nurse licensure and provides a generalist master’s degree, with opportunities to practice as an RN, teach in nursing education, or pursue future doctoral study. Master of Nursing (MN) Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Nurses in advanced practice are professionals committed to the delivery and study of high-quality clinical service: responsible, accountable, and with the authority to help shape the health care system of the future. The MSN program of study in the school is viewed as preparation for a variety of leadership roles. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Hybrid Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) The Hybrid MSN in Psychiatric-Mental Health NP (PMHNP) Program prepares students for advanced practice in the provision of psychiatric–mental health services to individuals across the lifespan and their family members in a variety of settings. Hybrid Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Two post-master’s DNP programs: Leadership DNP Program for mid-career nurses focused on innovation in management, policy and systems leadership; Clinical DNP Program is for Advanced Practice Nurses who are interested in developing and enhancing their skills as clinical leaders and innovators. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Post Master’s Certificates for Advanced Practice Nurses Post Master’s Certificates at YSN are available in five areas: Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care, and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
