Founded in 1994 by the visionary historian Roy Rosenzweig, RRCHNM has spent over three decades advancing its founding mission: to use digital media and computer technology to democratize history. The historians at RRCHNM are part of the Department of History and Art History at George Mason University. We combine the focused expertise of a research center dedicated to digital history with the intellectual breadth of a large history department and a vibrant doctoral program.
